Mr. Lavaud is currently CEO of JetFin, responsible for the strategy and the development of the company.
From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Lavaud was head of sales and marketing for Capital Fund Management (CFM) a fund manager with close to $4 Billion under management in Long/Short arbitrage, CTA and volatility arbitrage funds.
From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Lavaud worked as European Sales Manager for UBITRADE. A leader in derivative capital markets (futures and options), UBITRADE provides cutting-edge software for the capital market industry.
From 1992 to 1996, he worked as Sales Engineer in the Industrial Automation department of BOSCH, one of the 10 largest German industrial conglomerates, in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. Mr. Lavaud is fluent in French, English, Italian and German. He graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management. |

Geoff Burke was brought up on a sheep and beef farm in New Zealand, in a family that was involved with agricultural investment from 'paddock to plate'. He made his first investment in the agriculture sector at the age of 10. He graduated from Massey University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Studies (Agricultural Business) and from Lincoln University in 1997 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Science (Biological Husbandry).
He has several years experience in SRI (Sustainable and Responsible Investment) and eight years in investment banking/asset management including JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse Asset Management in London. Geoff has actively been involved in the organic management sector for 14 years in both the UK and New Zealand as Organic Farm Adviser, Business Development Manager, Managing Director of the Organic Arable Marketing Group and the Organic Seed Producers Company and as a member of the certification committee for an organic certifier. In that time he has been involved with a wide range of farmland investment management and advisory work, organic research, and nearly 200 organic farmland conversion projects.

Bernd Schanzenbaecher is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of EBG Capital, a Zurich based asset management boutique focussed on management and advisory of private equity investments in the environmental space (timberland, farmland, cleantech). He is an acknowledged leader in Sustainability with over 20 years of experience promoting sustainability in business practices, financial markets and international public policy. Prior to EBG Capital, Bernd was Global Co-Head of Credit Suisse's Environmental Business Group (EBG) were he led the implementation of the EBG strategy in clean tech and natural resources. Until 2007, Bernd was Global Head of Sustainability Affairs at Credit Suisse. He played a critical role designing and launching the groundbreaking responsAbility Microfinance Mutual Fund in 2002. As a Lead Author he contributed to the Chapter on "Impacts of Climate Change on Financial Services" of the IPCC Third Assessment Report. IPCC won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Prior to joining Credit Suisse Group in 1998, Bernd was the Economic Affairs Officer with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Geneva, Switzerland and in Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a Master in Agronomy and a PhD in Agricultural and Ressource Economics from University of Hohenheim (Germany).
Bernd is a member of the Advisory Board of Ariya Capital, a company focused on private equity investments in the cleantech space in Africa. He is a member of the BoD and investment committee of the Sustainable Earth Forestry Fund. |

After receiving her MA in International Economics at of the Johns Hopkins SAIS - School of Advanced International Studies and an MBA at SDA Bocconi, Ms. Henry joined the World Bank/IFC group as an analyst on a ground-breaking water resource management project in the MENA division. She later worked in London with private equity group, 3i, and joined Man Investments based in Switzerland where she headed a global sales unit in 2005. Ms. Henry joined SAM as a Senior Product Specialist in 2010 where she covers the full range of sustainable high-growth equity and private equity offerings to Institutions and family offices for Europe and Asia. His strong results and ability to preserve capital in weak markets were widely recognized. Pre-Switzerland, Mr. Sullenger spent several years in Moscow heading up sales and trading for Pioneer Securities, which he co-founded in 1996. He is fluent in English, French, and most importantly Russian, where his experience and crucial contacts within Russia and the CIS countries brings unique deal flow. Bernard Belk heads the Agricultural Corporate Business of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. Based in Zurich, he oversees a team of experts focused on providing innovative crop-shortfall insurance, weather-based index covers and structured price hedges solutions across the entire agricultural supply chain -- from input suppliers to commodity processors.
Mr. Belk joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2008 with more than 20 years of solid experience in the agricultural sector. He started as farmer growing cereals, sugar beet and potatoes in Europe, as well as breeding sheep in New Zealand. He served the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Africa where he managed the development programme in Cape Verde before joining a family-owned business trading/conditioning coffee and dried fruits company. Prior to joining Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Mr. Belk worked for 12 year at SGS, a leading agricultural supply chain service provider. At SGS, he held several positions, including Global Grain Manager and Global Strategic and M&A Manager in Geneva and Sao Paulo.
Mr. Belk holds a Master Degree in Agriculture Sciences from the Swiss Institute of Technology in Zurich and a MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, both in Switzerland.

Desmond Sheehy (CIO) is the co-founder of Duxton Asset Management. Prior to joining Duxton, Desmond worked for DeAM Asia from July 2005-April 2009, where he was the Head of the Complex Asset Investments Team. In addition to providing fiduciary oversight and managing the day-to-day running of the funds, Desmond's roles included sourcing and evaluating new opportunities for investment, planning, structuring, financing and conducting in-depth financial, technical, legal and financial due diligence of investments. Prior to joining DB, Desmond worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a Senior Investment Officer in both Washington DC and Hong Kong, where he was responsible for the origination, execution and supervision of investments throughout Asia, working on several innovative and successful deals across the region. Before joining IFC, Desmond spent nine years as an engineer working throughout Europe and Asia on large infrastructure projects. Desmond holds an MBA from INSEAD (1998) and a BE (1988) from UCC in Ireland.

Born in Ivory Coast and raised in Switzerland, Nabil started his career trading soft commodities for Namaco which he co-founded in 1996 and which rapidly became one of the biggest independent participants in the West African Coffee and Cocoa origination markets. At Namaco he traded with the world's largest market participants namely Andre Lausanne, Walter Matter, Nestle and Kraft. In 2000 Nabil moved to Lewton Associates where he focused on the brokerage business in soft commodities with a yearly turnover of about US$50m. At Lewton he interacted with other well known participants in the industry including Cargill, ADM and Mitsubishi. In 2003 Nabil moved to Audit Control & Expertise (ACE) in Geneva where he focused in originating and structuring trades as well as advising international banks like Barclays, Standard Chartered and IDB on their risk management processes. At ACE, Nabil was supervising credit facilities for a total of US$800m across 50 credit lines covering 5 geographies and more than 10 commodities. Nabil has spoken at numerous international conferences covering issues on structured trade finance and risk management and chaired workshops focusing on the latest technical developments in the industry. Nabil has a BA in economics and in Business Administration. Since December 2005, Nabil has been in charge of putting together and heading the Advising Team dedicated to Commodities and Activist Funding at INOKS Capital. He is the ancile Fund's Portfolio Manager.

Mr. Zenuk joined NGP in 2010 and serves as a Managing Director of the NGP funds. He leads the firm's efforts in the agribusiness sector, leveraging his global reputation and 20 year industry expertise in acquiring and operating large scale assets in the storage, processing, transportation and merchandising of agricultural commodities.
Prior to joining NGP in 2010, he served in many roles with Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM), most recently serving as President of Global Oilseeds, the largest Global Business Unit at ADM, comprising over $24 billion in sales and operating profit of $1.3 billion. These divisions employed 8,600 people, had 116 inland terminals, and 112 oilseed, crushing, refining and industrial facilities. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Zenuk was Managing Director for Europe and Asia. In 2005, he was elected as a Corporate Vice President of ADM. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Zenuk served as Senior VP for ADM's North American & European Oils & Fats division. Prior to joining ADM, he served as General Manager (Commodity Marketing Group) for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Marketing Manager for the Canadian Wheat Board.

He is a Brazilian and Swiss Citizen, graduated in 1984 with a MSc. in Economics from HEC Lausanne in Switzerland. Born in Sao Paolo in 1962, he lives in Geneva, married with one child. He speaks fluent French, English, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and understands German.

In January he was honoured in New Delhi with the "Bharat Samman Pravasi Award" by the NRI Institute. Past awardees have included The President of Mauritius and many members of UK's House of Lords. In June in the U.K. he was awarded an OBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours List 2010 for services to UK's financial services industry. In September he was awarded "The Glory of India" award.
He is a regular commentator on the unfolding India economic story on global TV, radio and press. He also chairs and speaks at many high level seminars in the UK and Europe. He is a guest speaker on India at MBA programmes of major UK business schools.

Mr Alberto San Miguel studied Business Administration at the Universidad Católica Argentina in Buenos Aires. After that, he started working at Agrar Agricola Argentina S.A., a family business that owns and operates 15,000 ha in Buenos Aires province, Argentina since 1990. After that time Alberto moved to United States to expand his family agribusiness. They created a company named Agrar Agriculture USA LLC. and started to buy farmland in USA. By now, their business owns 4,000 Ha in USA.
Mr San Miguel has been doing also other Real Estate businesses in United States. During the last 20 years they have walked from Commercial Properties to Residential Real Estate businesses. Geographically they have focused their business on Orlando, Miami and Houston.
Some years ago he decided to create Optimum Advisors Fund exploiting his background knowledge in agribusiness. Since then, they have decided to start acquiring farms in United States, mainly in the Delta States Area (Arkansas, Mississippi & Louisiana). The medium term objectives are to keep expanding the business in United States and later on to start buying lands in South America, always pursuing the objective of becoming a global leader in the agricultural business.

From 1999 to 2008, he served as a Managing Director of Aqua International Partners and then The Halifax Group, both affiliates of the Texas Pacific Group. Mr. Hill's early career was with Atlantic Richfield and Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he held operating and executive roles in the environmental and water sectors.
Mr. Hill received a Bachelor of Science in Biology / Chemistry in 1977 from Edinboro State University and a Bachelor and Masters of Science in Environmental Engineering in 1979 from the University of Pittsburgh. He serves as a Trustee of the Water Keeper Alliance.

Philippe Szokolóczy-Syllaba is a Swiss national who started his career as a lawyer in Geneva in 1987. After spending some time with a Washington D.C. law firm, he joined Freshfields in Paris where he was also admitted to the bar. In 1995 he moved into finance, as co-head of the International Tax and Estate Planning Departement for Paribas Europe. He then joined in 1999 Heritage Bank in Geneva as member of the management, in charge of their Paris and Milan office among other responsabilities. In 2005 he launched My Global Advisor, a Geneva based multi family office, offering bespoke wealth management and tax and estate planning services.
Philippe holds a BS in Business Administration from Presbyterian College, S.C., USA, a J.D. from the University of Geneva and a European Certified Financial Analyst Diploma.
He is a regular speaker at conferences and contributor to magazines on tax and finance topics.

Martin has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. He is one of the veterans of the open fund architecture concept in Switzerland. Over a period of ten years, he structured the worldwide mutual funds research department for UBS AG. Upon leaving UBS, his team numbered 15 analysts, who advised clients managing CHF 40 billion. In 2008, he started his own company, offering fund research services to institutional clients and independent asset management advice to wealthy clients. During his career he conducted up to 1000 fund manager interviews and knows all major players in the industry. Martin holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Economics (lic. rer. pol.) from the University of Bern (CH).

Nicolas has been working at CERN Pension Fund for the last 5 years. He started in 2006 as a portfolio analyst, in charge asset allocation, manager selection and monitoring, and reporting to the Investment Committee. In 2009 he took risk management responsibilities that he handed over in 2010 when he became Portfolio Manager for Real Estate, Private Equity and Commodities, three portfolios that together represent AUM of more than 700 MCHF or 18% of the CERN Pension Fund's assets. Nicolas holds a MSc in Finance from EDHEC Business School.

From 1992 to 1996, he worked as Sales Engineer in the Industrial Automation department of BOSCH, one of the 10 largest German industrial conglomerates, in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. Mr. Lavaud is fluent in French, English, Italian and German. He graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management. |
