Mr. Lavaud is currently CEO of JetFin, responsible for the strategy and the development of the company.
From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Lavaud was head of sales and marketing for Capital Fund Management (CFM) a fund manager with close to $4 Billion under management in Long/Short arbitrage, CTA and volatility arbitrage funds.
From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Lavaud worked as European Sales Manager for UBITRADE. A leader in derivative capital markets (futures and options), UBITRADE provides cutting-edge software for the capital market industry.
From 1992 to 1996, he worked as Sales Engineer in the Industrial Automation department of BOSCH, one of the 10 largest German industrial conglomerates, in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. Mr. Lavaud is fluent in French, English, Italian and German. He graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management. |

Aged 48, Andrew has worked in Asia Pacific investment since 1982.
He graduated from Oxford University in 1982 with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages.
After training as a commodity and mining analyst, Andrew worked from 1984 as an investment analyst in Asia Pacific markets, as Chief Strategist - Japan from 1987 to 1993, and ultimately as Director - Global Strategy, all at Barclays / BZW, based in Tokyo and London. He joined Sloane Robinson in London as a Partner in 1994, and then worked in Hong Kong as Chief Strategist - Asia Pacific at NatWest from 1996 and at Schroders from 1997, and as Investment Director - Asia Pacific at TAL from 2000. In 2003 he designed and launched the Ruffer Pacific Fund, which he ran as a partner of Ruffer from its inception until 2006. In addition to extensive Asia Pacific investment experience, he has had significant involvement over twenty years as an advisor, investor, and partner in hedge and absolute return investment funds. He has lived in Asia for twenty-one years, between 1986 and 1993 in Japan, and since 1996 in Hong Kong. Andrew is the founder and chief executive of Ballingal Investment Advisors. He has been Portfolio Manager of the BIA Pacific Fund since its inception in October 2004, and Portfolio Co-Manager of the BIA Pacific Macro Fund since its inception in March 2006.

Christian Takushi (1966), macro economist, works since 1.4.1998 for Swisscanto Asset Management Ltd, Switzerland's 4th largest Asset Manager. He is a Far East specialist and joined the senior management in 1998 and is the manager of the Swisscanto Japan Fund since April 1998. He is co-manager for three other Asia-Pacific Funds and covers the industry analysis of automobiles and auto-parts. From 1989 to 1992 he worked for the Economic Research dept of the Cantonal Bank of Zurich as a Japan analyst; he also co-developed econometric models there. From 1993 to 1998 he worked for the Credit Suisse Group's Bank Leu in Zurich and Singapore as portfolio manager responsible for the Japanese and Asian equity investments. Born in Peru, Takushi has Japanese and Spanish-French roots. He grew up in South America and attended the German Gymnasium Alexander von Humboldt, where he did the German "Abitur" in natural sciences in 1984. He is also a Physics laboratory technician. He started his studies at the University Karlsruhe in Germany and finished them at the University of Zurich in Feb 1993. He is married and lives with his family in a quiet farming region in Switzerland.

Roel acts as Global Head Bond Research and Strategy at ABN AMRO Private Banking and is based in Geneva. Working for ABN AMRO for more than 20 years, he has held several positions within the ABN AMRO group, the latest one in private banking, heading the active Investment Advisors group in Geneva and responsible for developing and monitoring the risk on Fixed Income instruments.
In 1998 he jointly set up and expanded the developments of the Wholesale Fixed Income business throughout Switzerland for the group. He subsequently joined Private Clients in 2002. At the start of his career he was actively involved in traded options & futures, convertible, equity and fixed income instruments.

David has accumulated over 25 years experience in international capital markets in a career that has taken him from New York to London and throughout Asia. Returning to his native Montreal in 1999, David co-founded Cordiant, a unique fund manager specialising in emerging markets. As Chairman of the Management Committee and member of the Investment Committee, David has been directly involved in the analysis and approval of nearly 200 investments in more than 50 emerging countries.
David's directorships include Cordiant and AC Water Canada. He is Chairman of the Investment Committee for the BCS Foundation and past Chairman of the Canada/South Africa Chamber. In addition to being a member of the Securities Institute in the United Kingdom and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the United States, he is also a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society. He has been a contributor and fundraiser with a number of local and international causes and he has travelled extensively around the world.
David is an honours graduate from the University of Guelph, where he studied Agricultural Economics, and a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D, November 2007). He guest lectures at McGill University and is a frequent speaker at conferences and in the media on matters relating to emerging markets.

Mark joined the Group in 1997 and is the Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific, responsible for all of RCM's investment business in the region. He has been based in Hong Kong since 1989, having begun his career in London as a quantitative analyst for the UK's largest institutional investor. Prior to joining the Group, Mark was Head of Institutional Business Development for Fidelity Investments in Hong Kong. Mark has a First Class (Hons.) degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Risk Analysis. He was a research fellow at University College London and holds a Diploma in Investment Management from the London Business School. Mark is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and in the past was a member of the FT-Actuaries Asia Pacific Index Committee.

Pieter van Putten is Director and Founding Partner of APAC Asset Management Pty Ltd., the Melbourne, Australian mining equities specialist boutique. Gustav Rhenman, a Swedish national, founded Asia Growth Investors in 2005 and has since specialised in investment activities in China. In 2010 East Capital acquired AGI and Gustav is now part of East Capital's portfolio management team.
Previously, Mr. Rhenman worked for Merck & Co (New York), Hewlett-Packard (Genève) and Schering-Plough (Stockholm). Gustav Rhenman has been working within the finance sector in Sweden since 1996, including roles in stock analysis at Öhman Fondkommission and corporate finance at Carnegie Investment Bank.

He is only one of two persons from India to be elected as a Member of The London Stock Exchange over 20 years ago He is a qualified UK accountant and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (UK). He is an Executive Board Director of The UK India Business Council
For over 15 years he has authored the influential "India Report", which is distributed to key decision makers globally, including investment managers at global financial institutions, businessmen worldwide, Chambers of Commerce, UK MPs, members of The House of Lords in the UK and the media 2010 was a special year for Deepak as he was honoured with three prestigious awards. In January he was honoured in New Delhi with the "Bharat Samman Pravasi Award" by the NRI Institute. Past awardees have included The President of Mauritius and many members of UK's House of Lords. In June in the U.K. he was awarded an OBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours List 2010 for services to UK's financial services industry. In September he was awarded "The Glory of India" award.

Ian McEvatt is the founder, Managing Director and majority shareholder of Iceman Capital Advisors Ltd., Investment Advisor to Himalayan Fund NV. Himalayan Fund is a $20 million fund investing in India since 1990; it is listed on Euronext Amsterdam and on The London Stock Exchange. Mr. McEvatt was appointed CEO of the Fund's management company in 1992; he became a Director of the Fund in 1994 and Chairman of the Board in 2001.
Mr. McEvatt is Irish and holds an MA from Trinity College, Dublin where he studied economics. He joined the Citibank graduate training programme in 1973 and worked in corporate and investment banking in Dublin, Edinburgh and London. In 1985, he joined Citicorp Investment Management where be had formal training in portfolio management and worked in global fixed income and marketing, eventually taking responsibility for an offshore fund complex. In 1990, he moved to Hong Kong to head the investment management activities of Standard Chartered Group in Asia.
In 1992, Ian was recruited as CEO of Indosuez Asia Investment Services, an Asian equity business managing a stable of listed country funds with offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2000, he transferred to London as CEO of a greenfield business for CAAM, specializing in fixed income, absolute return and alternative investments. Between 1998 and 2005, he also served as a director of Emerging Markets Management LLC in Washington D.C., in which CAAM had a significant investment. He left CAAM London in 2005, to set up Iceman as investment advisor and promoter of Himalayan Fund NV.

Most recently the President of GE Capital in China, Mrs. Kupfer has served in several senior executive positions in banking and management throughout the world. Her banking career includes many years with Bank One as Senior Vice President and Head of Middle Market and Retail Strategy, as well as the First National Bank of Chicago where she served as Country Manager, China. During that assignment, Mrs. Kupfer held the highly visible Chairmanship of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, the first female executive to hold such a position in that country. She has a broad and deep insight into many parts of Asia, having travelled extensively for business within South-East Asia while based in Singapore. Mrs. Kupfer holds a BS degree from the National Taiwan University, an MS from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She is a US citizen and was born in Taiwan.

Won J. Choe is the founder and a director of Spectrum Advisors (Asia) Pte Limited, exempt fund management & advisory company, in Singapore. Choe started his career in investment banking by joining Ssangyong Securities' (now known as Shinhan Investment Corporation in Korea) International Capital Markets Department in 1990. Choe was exposed to entire range of corporate finance & capital markets activities, such as origination, syndication, and new issues trading.
From 1991 to 1994, he managed the company's investment portfolio of Asia Ex-Japan equity and equity-linked securities. After completing an assignment at the company's New York office in 1995, Choe subsequently held positions at proprietary trading, equity derivatives, and corporate finance departments from 1996 to 2000. During this period, Mr. Choe concentrated on structuring and implementing relative value and equity arbitrage strategies for global hedge funds, and financial institutions. The use of equity-linked securities or structured finance to meet the investment needs has always been his area of interests. He graduated from Miami University in the United States with a Master of Business Administration.

Stephane Pizzo is the founder and Managing Partner of Lotus Peak Capital Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. He has over 15 years of experience in hedge fund analysis and portfolio management. He has been working extensively in Europe, North America and Asia. From 2007 to 2009, Mr Pizzo was Managing Director for Unigestion Asia Pte Ltd. where he was responsible for sourcing Asian based managers for the firm's global portfolio. Between 2001 to 2006, Mr Pizzo was Head of Alternative Research at Alpstar Geneva. He left Geneva to open and run the New York office followed by the office in Nassau, Bahamas. Previously (from 1998 to 2001), he had managed the Alternative Investment department at Banque Edouard Constant in Geneva. Mr Pizzo began his career in Alternative Investments in 1994, at UBP, as a hedge fund analyst, becoming the head of research for alternative investments. Throughout his career, he has met with hundreds of hedge Fund managers, enabling him to develop an extensive network of contacts and deepen his understanding of the different strategies and investment processes involved. In addition, Stephane has experience in the Japanese equity market as well as trading energy and agricultural commodities, which he acquired while working for Nomura Bank, Geneva and Cargill (1988 to 1994). Stephane has Swiss and Italian citizenship, speaks English, French and Italian fluently and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Geneva.

Didier Tosi, CFA, started his career as a founding partner of bmd Consulting in 1996. In 2000 Didier worked as a relationship manager in the private banking division of Banque Cantonale du Valais. In 2001 he joined Banque Piguet & Cie S.A in Geneva as an equity analyst covering Asia ex Japan and UK. From 2002 to 2008 he was Head of Fund Selection at Piguet and responsible for the bank's alternative investments including all hedge funds while he had earned the title of Vice President. Theodore Economou, CFA, is chief executive officer of the pension fund management unit of CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The fund has approximately 4 billion Swiss Francs in assets, managed both internally and externally.
Prior to joining CERN, Mr. Economou spent 16 years with New York-based ITT Corporation, most recently serving as assistant treasurer responsible for the management of ITT's worldwide pension assets and liabilities, and overseeing capital markets activities. Before that, he was a consultant with Accenture's Financial Services Group in Geneva and Zurich. He holds degrees from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg School of Management.

Grégoire Haenni is chief investment officer of the pension fund management unit of CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Prior to joining CERN, Mr. Haenni was heading the Research and Investments department at Bank Of China (Suisse) Fund Management SA. Before that, he founded Bedrock Alternative Asset Management SA, a subsidiary of Bedrock Group, and was Managing Partner from 2007 to 2008, as well as Head of Research and Portfolio Management. He was a portfolio manager of two funds of hedge funds, as well as tailor-made portfolios designed for UHNWI, based on proprietary multi-dimensional models that he developed over 15 years. Prior to Bedrock, Mr. Haenni was a senior qualitative and quantitative analyst at Pictet & Cie's alternative department from 2001 to 2007. He was also the manager of the Asian multi-strategy fund of hedge funds and managed tailor-made portfolios of alternative investments. He started his career in 1997 as a financial analyst and portfolio manager at Merchiston Management SA.
He holds a PhD in Econometrics, suma cum laude. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Methods and a Master of Science in Econometrics from the University of Geneva.

Mr. Lavaud is currently CEO of JetFin, responsible for the strategy and the development of the company.

From 1992 to 1996, he worked as Sales Engineer in the Industrial Automation department of BOSCH, one of the 10 largest German industrial conglomerates, in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.
