Won J. Choe is the founder and a director of Spectrum Advisors (Asia) Pte Limited, exempt fund management & advisory company, in Singapore. Choe started his career in investment banking by joining Ssangyong Securities' (now known as Shinhan Investment Corporation in Korea) International Capital Markets Department in 1990. Choe was exposed to entire range of corporate finance & capital markets activities, such as origination, syndication, and new issues trading. From 1991 to 1994, he managed the company's investment portfolio of Asia Ex-Japan equity and equity-linked securities. After completing an assignment at the company's New York office in 1995, Choe subsequently held positions at proprietary trading, equity derivatives, and corporate finance departments from 1996 to 2000. During this period, Mr. Choe concentrated on structuring and implementing relative value and equity arbitrage strategies for global hedge funds, and financial institutions. The use of equity-linked securities or structured finance to meet the investment needs has always been his area of interests. He graduated from Miami University in the United States with a Master of Business Administration.
